Purpose and Values
Naples, March 11th, 2023 - A new stop for the "Ocean&Climate Village," IOC-UNESCO interactive exhibition part of the Decade of Marine Sciences for Sustainable Development (2021-2030), to raise awareness among new generations and the general public about the importance of the ocean and its relationship with the climate. This year the initiative moved to Naples - organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism of the City of Naples - inside the Sala Italia in Castel dell'Ovo, one of the symbols of the city to which the legend of Ulysses and the siren Partenope is linked.
During the week, debates were held in collaboration with various local bodies and institutions - including the University of Naples Federico II and experts from the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station - educational workshops with the CNR-Ismar institute of marine sciences, lectures, and meetings, attended by more than 1,300 visitors.
The Prada Group took part in the event by presenting the SEA BEYOND educational programme with the support of panels, interactive games, a video and virtual reality content to illustrate the project. The audience was able to "immerse" in an exciting journey and learn more about the importance of the ocean for our planet and our future.
