    Prada Mode New York

    2026年6月5日

    3–7 JUNE, 2026
    THE HOTEL CHELSEA

Milan, 1 April 2026 — In June 2026, Prada will present Satellites II, the fourteenth iteration of Prada Mode at the Hotel Chelsea in New York City in collaboration with Danish film director Nicolas Winding Refn and Japanese game creator Hideo Kojima. Coinciding with the Tribeca Festival, the multi-day event will build on NWR and Kojima’s previous collaboration, Satellites, an exhibition exploring the connection between love, language, and creativity through the friendship of the two artists, which was presented at Prada Aoyama Tokyo in the summer of 2025.
An immersive experience, Satellites II is an extension of the original exhibition, traversing across communication and human connection spanning multiple languages, cultures, and spaces, interwoven into the romantic iconography of the Hotel Chelsea and other renowned New York venues.

For Prada Mode New York, Satellites II will be hosted at the Hotel Chelsea, where a spatial narrative will move between public, domestic, and intimate environments of the hotel, reflecting the balance between private spaces and collective accessibility. The event will take place across different sections of the hotel, featuring a cultural program conceived by the curators to invoke an invasion of the historical space with a classical yet progressive science fiction aesthetic. Over the two-day private exhibition, select hotel rooms will serve as micro television studios, showcasing original and unique performances for those with exclusive access. Subsequently, the next three days will be open to the public, allowing guests to access the same hotel rooms, now transformed into intentional art installations.

Additional areas in the hotel will host site-specific installations that center around NWR and Kojima’s continuous dialogue and obsessions. The culminating effect will be an unforgettable cosmic voyage into the connection, inspiration, and friendship shared by the two artists.

Prada Mode New York will include a live cultural program encompassing talks, concerts, performances, and reinterpretation of broadcast formats. For the first two days of the event, a select group of guests will be invited to stay at the hotel while the space functions as a private members’ club, with attendant dinners and celebrations. The final three days are open to the public, June 5th through 7th, expanding the event to additional venues throughout the city to include site-specific installations, screenings, artist conversations, and special food programming.

    ABOUT PRADA MODE

Prada Mode is a contemporary cultural series bridging audiences and luminaries at diverse locations worldwide. An evolution of Prada Double Club by artist Carsten Höller, Prada Mode takes the form of a cultural gathering that centers the work of visionary artists, architects, filmmakers, and more, many of whom are longtime collaborators with Prada. Partner artists work with Prada to develop site-specific installations, shaped by the host city and coinciding with the global cultural calendar. During its private days, Prada Mode operates as a members’ club with talks, workshops, parties, and special programming that reflect the core themes of each iteration. During the public days, access expands for all audiences to discover — and respond to — significant art and perspectives through a novel, temporary experience that is the only of its kind.

Past iterations (2018 – 25) were held in Miami, Hong Kong, London, Paris, Shanghai, Moscow, Los Angeles, Dubai, Tokyo, Seoul, Abu Dhabi, and Osaka.
Partner artists have included Jamie Diamond, Kate Crawford and Trevor Paglen, Jia Zhang-Ke, Damien Hirst, Martine Syms, Lee Sook-Kyung, Kim Jee-Woon, Yeon Sang-ho, Jeong Dahee, Theaster Gates, Kazuyo Sejima, and Elmgreen & Dragset.
