MIU MIU ANNOUNCES THE THIRD INTERNATIONAL ITERATION OF ‘TALES & TELLERS’ IN SHANGHAI
Shanghai, June 5, 2026 - The third iteration of Miu Miu’s Tales & Tellers, open to the public on the 6th and 7th of June 2026, was unveiled in Shanghai with a vernissage at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. Originally envisaged by Miuccia Prada, this site-specific performance project is conceived by interdisciplinary artist Goshka Macuga, convened by Elvira Dyangani Ose, curator and artistic director of the Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial - in collaboration with theatre and opera director Fabio Cherstich. Tales & Tellers takes Miu Miu’s long-standing collaborations across fashion, cinema, and contemporary art as a point of departure, exploring ever-evolving ideas of the plurality of femininity. Every artistic intervention from previous Miu Miu fashion shows, and each film from the Miu Miu Women’s Tales series, is represented by a character directly extracted from these collaborations and embodied by live actors in a dynamic performance art piece. Prior to this iteration, Tales & Tellers debuted at the Palais d’Iéna as part of Art Basel Paris in October 2024 and, in 2025, was reimagined for the Terminal Warehouse in New York City.
