Boston Consulting Group has released True Luxury Global Consumer Insight 2016, a report now in its third year.
“The new protagonists of the luxury consumer market are between 18 and 34 years old: global, digitalised, optimistic, open to new things, keen to recommend and share products, and sensitive to sustainability. China is the biggest consumer market. Milan is climbing the rankings in terms of the target market’s preferred cities. Risk areas: personal luxury saturation amongst consumers and loss of brand exclusiveness.”
