To celebrate Easter, alongside the traditional Colomba cake and classic dark, milk and white chocolate eggs, the Pasticceria Marchesi 1824 café on Via Monte Napoleone, Milan is this year offering a limited-edition collection of special eggs, with two different styles of floral decoration made with royal icing: glazed with embossed decorations or hand-painted.
It goes without saying, that they contain a ‘surprise’ too: the decorated eggs contain silverware, while the 2 kg egg contains Marchesi porcelain.
A made-to-order service is also available, allowing you to choose from the range of decorations shown in the window of the patisserie and inside, to be reproduced on your choice of dark, milk or white chocolate. You can also request a customised gift to go inside the egg.
The new Easter-inspired window displays are also well worth a look.
