A new ‘modular design’ concept has been introduced in a selection of Prada stores: interchangeable elements, constantly updated, are added to shop floors alongside new products, so customers experience a new, unique and original environment every time they visit.
This concept was first launched in the Prada Harrods space in London, which has been decorated with colourful furniture and specific cultural references to Romanticism, including copies of prints by Giovanni Battista Piranesi, the best-known 18th-century Italian engraver. The furnishing is rounded off by Osvaldo Borsani velvet chairs and a geometric pattern carpet in a strawberry pink colour.
The Monte Carlo store has also been refreshed using this approach: the new entrance now features a large video-wall displaying content related to the collections, and here too, like in Harrods, the walls are covered with a selection of prints by Piranesi, and the Osvaldo Borsani velvet chairs and the classic chequerboard carpet are coloured pink.
