A play of reflections that evokes infinite spaces, a refined, intimate, elegant and feminine boudoir, the ambience of a prestigious Oxford College and an imaginary trip through the Rocky Mountains: these are the displays that adorn the windows of the Prada Group’s stores this Christmas.
PRADA
A display that showcases modern and sophisticated luxury with a Christmas atmosphere, echoing the spirit of the Resort 2017 collection and Prada’s identity. Against a joyful backdrop of plain, platinum-coloured balls, laid out in a regular pattern and combined with mirrored surfaces to create a play of reflections, a selection of some of the most important looks, footwear and bags from the men’s and women’s Resort collection appear suspended in mid-air, orderly and at different levels.
MIU MIU
The windows offer visitors a preview of the experience inside the store, almost an extension of the shop’s interior, with blue damask, a major feature of Miu Miu’s new style, taking centre stage. Rounded armchairs and circular coffee tables complete the decor, interpreting the intimate and elegant femininity of both the shop’s rooms and the collections, and relaying them in timeless surroundings.
CHURCH’S
Inspired by the spirit and images of the brand’s new advertising campaign, Church’s Christmas windows, with tongue firmly in cheek, recreate the hypothetical bedroom of an Oxford student: a simple, unfussy space, replete with elegance and luxury, in which materials like mahogany, steel and silk velvet present the hallmarks of a sophisticated yet contemporary elite.
CAR SHOE
The Car Shoe Christmas window takes the imagination on an intrepid journey through the Rocky Mountains. In a set that draws on several emblematic 1950s films, Car Shoe’s interpretation of the landscape is dictated by the materials of topstitched leather and steel, recounting a “Christmas fairy tale” to accompany the product.
