The major renovation of Prada’s historic plant in Montone, central Italy, which specialises in producing men’s trousers, is now complete. Built on a 10,000 m² site, the trouser factory has a total floor space of 2900 m², spread over two storeys: 2500 m² on the ground floor, where the warehouse, pattern-making, cutting, assembly, ironing, quality control and offices are based, and 400 m² on the first floor, equipped with a meeting room, videoconference room and canteen.
The recent work involved all areas of the plant and has significantly improved its inside spaces, restructuring workflows and optimising the manufacturing processes, with a new “hung garment for handling” line between the ironing and quality control departments. The factory’s cutting-edge equipment and machinery is as good as ever, offering the highest possible levels of quality.
The factory has a total of 50 employees.
