Today sees the launch of the third “Promenade pour un objet d’exception”, a project devised by the Comité Montaigne to promote the craftsmanship and refinement of the objects created by the 32 brands on one of Europe’s most renowned streets.
The Prada menswear and womenswear shops on Avenue Montaigne are both taking part, and will be decorating their windows and inside spaces with exquisite handbags, suitcases and overnight bags from Prada’s historical archive, which represents over a century of style, elegance and quality manufacturing. These objects will sit alongside exclusive items in prized materials and hides from the latest collections.
The project coincides with the extremely famous Biennale des Antiquaires that draws visitors to Paris from all over the world, and is also partnered with the French edition of AD – Architectural Digest magazine.
The event was launched yesterday evening with a cocktail party at the store, attended by some of the French capital’s most prominent figures from the world of show business, art, business and media, as well as a selection of local VIC’s. It will draw to a close on 18th September, before being repeated in Düsseldorf on 27-29 October.
