“That One Day”, by American director Crystal Moselle, is the 12th commission from Miu Miu Women’s Tales, the short-film series by women who critically celebrate femininity in the XXI century.
A tale between dream and reality, full of different emotions, all treated with gentleness and profoundness, in which Rachelle, the leading actress, – riding her skateboard through a journey of self-discovery – realizes in a tender daydream how everything can change in the space of one day. A world of female friendship, strength and belonging: “Today is the first day that I haven’t been feeling that sense of loneliness.”
“That One Day” was premiered during the Venice Days program at the Venice Film Festival on September 1st and screened together with “Seed” of Naomi Kawase (Women’s Tales #11).
Women’s Tales have previously premiered at Venice Film Festival’s Giornate degli Autori programme since the 2012 edition.
