Recognised as one of Paris’ top events for the social and cultural elite, the Vogue Foundation Gala not only attracts the French capital’s major international luxury goods brands, but also stars from the world of cinema, music and art and the most elegant socialites from the French capital.
Founded in 2004, the event aims to raise funds for conservation work at the Museum of Fashion and Palais Galliera, the venue that hosts the event, as well as helping to maintain the collections and finance future exhibitions.
The event took place in the evocative inner courtyard of this historic building, and thanks to contributions made by attendees over 100 items were added to its archives, including clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, photographs, prints and illustrations. Prada donated a dress from the Fall/Winter 2016 womenswear collection to the museum, while Miu Miu donated a total look, again from the Fall/Winter 2016 collection.
The evening, hosted by the editor-in-chief of Vogue France, Emmanuelle Alt, began with a cocktail and a tour of the museum, followed by a gala dinner and performance by Mahaut Mondino, before DJs Agathe Mougin and Vladimir Schall took things to another level.
Sat at Prada and Miu Miu’s table were, amongst others, the actresses Fanny Ardant, Milla Jovovich and Leïla Bekhti, the director and producer Paul Anderson, Hamish Bowles, Editor at Large at Vogue America, and the writer Derek Blasberg. Other guests included Charlotte Rampling, Vanessa Paradis, Charlotte Casiraghi, Zoe Kravitz, Lou Douillon and Etienne Daho.
