Over 2000 writers from all over the world entered this year’s Prada Feltrinelli Prize, where they were asked to expound on the theme of ‘Illuminations, shadows and mirages. Things are not always what they seem’.
Carlo Feltrinelli, A.M. Homes, Craid Mod and Oscar-winning film director Gabriele Salvatores have been chosen as the Prada Feltrinelli Prize jury members, responsible for selecting the winners of the third edition, whose names will be unveiled in September 2016.
The plots of this year’s three winning stories will be transformed into a three-dimensional experience: the stories will be turned into a digital theatre performance, featuring innovative scenery that merges with the virtual world.
The Prada Feltrinelli literary contest, founded in 2013, aims to create an independent literary research platform for up-and-coming writers from all over the world, encouraging them to capture the multiple facets that make up reality and translate them into written words.
