Architect Guido Canali presented all the designs created for Prada over the last 25 years at the 53rd World Congress of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA), organised by the Associazione Italiana di Architettura del Paesaggio (AIAP – Italian Association of Landscape Architecture) and held at the Centro Congressi Lingotto in Turin on April 20-22. The focus of his talk was the design for the Prada Valvigna industrial complex and management centre.
The theme of the World Congress was ‘Tasting the Landscape’, with landscape seen as an integral part of a country’s development: it improves quality of life and makes areas more attractive, thereby bolstering their economic development. The research therefore concentrated predominantly on how landscape design can be a determining factor for improving the quality of places and environments.
More than 80 designs were presented at the congress, which was attended by over 2,000 landscape architects from all over the world.
