Following on from its launch in New York, ‘Seed’, the eleventh short film in Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales series, was presented in Tokyo on 22 March in the majestic setting of the ballroom of the Park Hyatt hotel.
The event was especially significant because ‘Seed’ was filmed in Japan and directed by the renowned Japanese director Naomi Kawase, who was recently elected president of the short film jury at Cannes Film Festival, and who won the Festival’s Grand Prix in 2007. She attended the event alongside the film’s lead Sakura Ando, who has just been named best Japanese actress by the Japan Academy.
The 300 guests at the event included important figures from the world of cinema, actors and actresses, journalists, bloggers and opinion leaders, as well as a selection of celebrities and VICs.
