The official unveiling of Prada Rong Zhai in Shanghai was marked by the opening of ‘Prada & Architecture’, an exhibition on the first floor of the villa depicting the most architecturally significant restoration work carried out by the Prada Group in recent years. As well as the restoration of Prada Rong Zhai itself, the projects in the exhibition, curated by the New York-based graphic design studio 2 x 4, include the renovation of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan and Ca’ Corner della Regina in Venice, the Prada Epicenters in New York and Los Angeles, designed by OMA (Rem Koolhaas), and Tokyo, by Herzog & de Meuron, and Prada Transformer, also by OMA (Rem Koolhaas).
The exhibition is open to the public until 17 Dicember.
