The new 1960s-inspired Prada Cinema women’s eyewear collection reinterprets the classic round shape that epitomised the decade in a stylistic dialogue that combines sophisticated elegance with contemporary details. This is highlighted in the film created for the launch, a playful homage to the escapism and fantasies of the cinema that uses delicate metaphors, strange moments and surreal make-up to tell a deceptively simple story of a trip to the cinema. What seems at first to be a standard day at the movies gives way to an unexpected plot.
The glasses in the Prada Cinema collection have a large acetate front with a slender metal upper edge and flat metal and acetate temples, and are available in a wide range of colour combinations, from the classic Black and Tortoiseshell – in its Classic, Medium, Orchid and Talc shades – to the brand new tones Crystal Nude, Crystal Water and Crystal Blue, with standard or mirrored lenses.
