An exhibition entitled To the Son of Man Who Ate the Scroll, created by Goshka Macuga for Fondazione Prada, has now opened to the public. The artist of Polish origin takes on the roles of creator, curator, collector, researcher and exhibition designer in her work, bringing together a variety of media including sculpture, installation, photography, architecture and design. The project, which explores seminal issues such as time, beginnings and endings, collapse and renewal, includes references to the art of rhetoric, mnemonics systems and artificial memory.
The exhibition presents new works by the artist, including an android that recites an unbroken monologue and an installation made in collaboration with Patrick Tresset, a selection of works from the Prada Collection and objects, documents and artworks on loan from museums and institutions across the world.
