‘Graphic Rooms’ are the latest stage in the evolution of the ‘modular design’ project, in which interchangeable elements are introduced into stores with the arrival of new products.
To mark fashion week in London, Milan and Paris, the spaces in Prada’s Old Bond Street, Monte Napoleone and Avenue Montaigne womenswear stores have been inspired by the topic of traditional Chinese screens.
A painted motif taken from an original 18th-century Chinese screen has been reinterpreted with Prada’s reference colours and reinvented in an abstract style, introducing a group of pink and smoke-coloured clouds that decorate the ceiling, turning it into a starry sky and enveloping customers in an intimate and feminine environment.
