Initially presented at Osservatorio Fondazione Prada in Milan last January, “A Kind of Language: Storyboards and Other Renderings for Cinema” will be on view at Prada Rong Zhai, from 4th November 2025 to 1st February 2026.
The project, curated by Melissa Harris, shares myriad approaches toward the creative process behind filmmaking, bringing together storyboards and other materials such as mood boards, drawings and sketches, notebooks. In Shanghai, the exhibition includes over five hundred items by more than thirty film directors, artists, graphic designers, animators and choreographers, with a particular focus on Asian cinema from recent decades.
