Patrizio Bertelli, Chief Executive Officer of the Prada Group, was a key player at the opening of the sixteenth edition of the Milan Fashion Global Summit, a crucial date in the fashion and luxury goods industry, organised by Class Editori every year. The theme of this year’s edition was “Luxury 4.0 – The new challenges of digital revolution”.
During his speech, Patrizio Bertelli observed how the digital phenomenon has gained importance and become essential over the last few years, and how this cannot be ignored. He also explained how this has consequently increased the scope of communication and marketing. “The digital market has become global in the broadest sense of the term and so we must accept situations that we would never have considered until a few years ago. The challenge lies in knowing how to juggle a network of stores, e-commerce and social networks smoothly in order to create a sort of triple alliance. There is no single priority. Seriously facing the challenges of the digital world effectively is an ambitious task for our whole industry. Furthermore, we must use all channels to communicate and, thus, make luxury accessible.” This summarises Patrizio Bertelli’s position on the event theme.
