Prada Resort 2017 Advertising Campaign

In this series of beautiful images Prada plays Prada, with the city of Milan providing an essential supporting role. Places close to Prada’s heart – the Ulrico Hoepli Planetarium, Via Daniele Manin, and the newly inaugurated Fondazione Prada – provide the backdrop for the photographs, which evoke the key aspects, historical roots and institutional qualities of the brand, before taking off in an uncharted direction: an approach that chimes perfectly with Prada’s identity.
Jessica Chastain and Dane DeHaan, often described as ‘actor’s actors’, must mine histories both real and imaginary to portray an interior life, even if only for a moment: their roles are always magnetic, fed by their insatiable desire to take on a new character, even when, as they do here, they are playing themselves. Through a series of incantations they create a character that can take off in search of a totally different world. Just like Prada.
