On 12th September 2024, Prada Linea Rossa is partnering with mountain bike rider Dawid Godziek, the latest Red Bull athlete to take on an extreme challenge. The Polish champion pushed his boundaries by riding on a track built on a moving train for the first time in his discipline.
Set in the region of Upper Silesia, Poland, on 10 train cars moving at a speed of 23 km/h, Godziek showcased a series of tricks along the way, including the world’s first flat drop backflip to flat landing from stairs on the last train carriage. The impressive results displayed his ability to face the technical complexities of this one-of-a-kind MTB track. Its width of 2.7 meters, the potential wind gusts and the limited reference points made this a challenging feat.
“It was a dream come true, but also a challenge to ride an MTB on top of a moving train. The trickiest part was that the jumps were coming at me, and not the other way around. The track was narrow, which added to the complexity. I’m stoked that we pulled off this project, and grateful for Red Bull and Prada’s support. I have to say that the Linea Rossa’s engineered garments really supported me in this accomplishment, which required total freedom of movement.” said Dawid Godziek.
Prada Linea Rossa, inspired by the human body and the duality between the demands of action and advanced textile development, equipped the athlete with functional apparel that allowed the mobility necessary for this dynamic challenge, bringing together comfort and high-performance function.
This is the latest event as part of the partnership between Prada Linea Rossa and Red Bull, which aims to promote unique sporting initiatives and the talent of athletes by helping them to reach their outstanding goals.
