In 2021, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team launched Generation Prada, an internship program designed to equip the next generation of fashion industry leaders from diverse backgrounds with professional development opportunities and skills to achieve success. The goal of this initiative is to create access for diverse leaders to join the fashion industry and provide them with invaluable hands on learning opportunities and insights to enhance their career opportunities at Prada Group and beyond. Thus far, this pipeline of talent has ushered in seven full time hires across both Prada and MiuMiu at the Prada USA Corporate office and continues our commitment to championing new voices and perspectives through every cohort.
The program concluded its third iteration, with nine interns, selected from a large pool of highly impressive applicants. These candidates were chosen due to their academic and professional achievements, their passion and drive for luxury fashion, as well as their admiration for Prada Group brands. The interns received a hands-on journey of learning, working across various departments including Men’s and Women’s Merchandising, DE&I, Marketing and Communications, Client Relationship Management, Events, IT, Asset Protection, and Finance. The 2024 cohort graduated in June 2024 where they presented key program learnings along with a business analysis on ways to expand The Group’s market share in sustainability with either a new or existing product.
