The Prada Group has strengthened its position in South Korea by opening Prada and Miu Miu stores in the newly-built, prestigious Shinsegae Starfield mall in Hanam.
PRADA – The new single-storey shop, with its front clad in black Marquina marble and incorporating an expansive entrance, light boxes and windows, is devoted to the women’s and men’s leather goods, accessories and footwear collections, and has an area of 315 m².
The new concept already introduced in other recently-opened Prada shops has been applied to the interior, which sees the brand’s iconic elements and trademark colours – the white chequered marble floor and Prada’s quintessential green – alternating with new hues, such as turquoise, and new furnishings, including the Osvaldo Borsani velvet chairs, produced exclusively for Prada, and the elegant and modern geometric patterned carpets.
MIU MIU – The new store is dedicated to the ready-to-wear, leather goods, footwear and accessories collections and has a total area of approximately 165 m².
The outdoor shop front features a sheet metal awning and two large windows either side of the entrance, which offers an inviting view of the playful combination of spacious environments and small, intimate rooms inside. The whole interior is decorated with Miu Miu’s new aesthetic hallmarks: the sky blue damask fabric and the ceiling and carpet in the same hue give the shop an elegant and overtly feminine atmosphere. The furnishing is rounded off by metal and glass display cases at the centre of each room.
