Following its debut in London, Prada Extends moved on to Tokyo, with two events – a conversation and a celebration – on 21 July, both curated by musician Richie Hawtin, AKA Plastikman. The conversation, held inside the Miyashita Park Prada store, saw Richie Hawtin discuss music and current events with the multitalented Naohiro Ukawa, the man behind the digital live streaming studio Dommune. The day continued at Terrada – an arts and music centre featuring one of Japan’s largest gallery complexes – with a series of exclusive collaborative performances featuring DJs and visual artists. Richie Hawtin performed with Kaoru Tanaka, also featuring Manami Sakamoto, Lionclad appeared with Ken-ichi Kawamura, machìna played with Shohei Fujimoto and Yuri Urano appeared with Manami Sakamoto.
