A delegation from Prada’s Social Responsibility and Industrial Compliance Committees attended the fourth Copenhagen Fashion Summit, a world-renowned conference on the topic of fashion and sustainability, which was opened on May 12th by the event’s patron Princess Mary of Denmark.
52 different countries were represented as 1,200 representatives from leading firms in the sector, ranging from ‘fast fashion’ companies to luxury brands, discussed the contribution the fashion industry can make in building a future that combines sustainable economic, social and environmental development. The debate also involved institutions, students, NGOs and opinion leader journalists, including Vanessa Friedman, Fashion Director at the New York Times, Suzy Menkes, Editor at Vogue international and Imran Amed, the founder and CEO of The Business of Fashion.
The summit concluded with the hope that all parties involved could collaborate more, aiming for ever more ambitious standards of sustainability.
