Prada Alexandra House in Hong Kong is the first store in the world to have received “Gold LEED” certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) – the American system for classifying energy efficiency and the environmental footprint of buildings which promotes a sustainability-focused approach – under the new v4.1 O+M protocol for retail stores already open. LEED promotes a sustainability-focused approach, recognising buildings’ performance in various areas, including energy and water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improvements to the environmental quality of the interior, the materials and the resources used.
