After almost 11 years of work and a large-scale renovation process, La Rinascente on Via del Tritone in Rome, the historic headquarters of the most prestigious Italian chain of department stores, has finally reopened. The brand already has connections to the Prada Group thanks to long-running collaboration at the Milan store on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, and this has now been strengthened, with Prada, Miu Miu and Church’s all found in the new complex, each one with a space bearing their instantly recognisable design features.
PRADA – Located in the central, well-lit internal courtyard, the Prada space has a 100 m² floor area and features the iconic black and white chequered floor, a reproduction of a 1930s train, a clear nod to Nicolas Benois’ painting in the shop in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and man-sized Robot Tricks. It sells an exclusive collection of men’s and women’s leather goods and accessories.
MIU MIU – This 30 m² area, also on the ground floor, has a highly feminine atmosphere, offering the brand’s bag and accessories collections in a location furnished with damask fabric, full-length mirrors and bevelled mirror display tables.
CHURCH’S – Found on the second floor, the Church’s shop covers almost 40 m², and houses the men’s footwear, accessories and small leather goods collections. The design of the space has been updated, with the giant Union Jack carpet, red leather chairs and mahogany furniture particularly eye-catching, all presented in a typical British style.
