The Prada Group has recently devoted significant resources to industrial development.
During 2015 a total of 45,000 m² of floor space was either built or refurbished, involving a total of 803 employees in manufacturing and logistics.
The projects brought to completion include:
- Restructuring the collection assembly lines at Terranuova Bracciolini;
- Creation of the first leather goods quality control laboratory at the Levanella plant;
- Creation of a new automated in-house leather goods cutting centre at the Valvigna factory;
- Restructuring the logistics warehouses in Levanella;
- Refurbishment and reopening of the Carducci shoe factory in Levane, dedicated to made-to-order women’s footwear;
- Restructuring and renovation of the Piancastagnaio Prada plant.
The following were also opened:
- A new leather goods manufacturing facility in Scandicci, with an in-house automated cutting centre, new full-cycle assembly lines and a new office block;
- A new logistics warehouse at San Zeno.
