At the first summer CARE’s – The Ethical Chef Days, held on the island of Salina on 21-24 May, Marchesi 1824 awarded the CARE’s Social Responsibility Award to Francesca Iurlaro for the innovative way he has introduced the concept of food ethics to his philosophical research.
With a bursary sponsored by Marchesi 1824, Francesca Iurlaro will carry out in-depth research into food ethics and in particular into food waste, access to resources, biodiversity and conserving sustainable crops and livestock rearing, culminating in the publication of an academic paper, which will be presented at the second summer CARE’s in May/June 2018.
