Clean-up event in New York City
In the spirit of forging sustainable paths, the DE&I team partnered with Clean Beach Inc. for a volunteer coastal clean-up event at Pier 35 in New York City on October 15th. Clean Beach is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection of our coastlines and its marine wildlife. Pier 35 was one of the most impacted areas in New York City during Hurricane Sandy, and this volunteer opportunity provided a meaningful way to honor the resilience of New York and contribute to its ongoing recovery, while preserving its local ecosystem. The event kicked off with an insightful educational session about the current state of our oceans, highlighting how micro-plastics enter our waterways and ultimately the ocean. Together Prada Group employees made a significant impact by removing 70 pounds of waste in just 1.5 hours. The collective dedication to the planet, Prada Group drivers of change spirit, and teamwork truly shone through, and underscored the importance of supporting our local communities and fostering a culture of philanthropy and environmental sustainability.
Second appointment with Forestami in Milan
In line with the Drivers of Change values and the Group’s sustainability strategy, on November 13, for the second year in a row, the corporate volunteering initiative for Prada Group employees was held in Milan.
The Group’s colleagues took part in a planting activity in collaboration with Forestami – the urban forestry initiative that the Prada Group has supported since 2022 – at the Balossa Park.
Over the course of the morning, the employees, under the guidance of the park’s agronomists, planted 500 trees, which will create a new wooded area within the park.
Thanks to all the participants for contributing to the success of this activity and for being true Drivers of Change!
